Terms of Use
Effective Date: October 6, 2026 | Last Updated: October 6, 2026
Welcome to Curated Transitions. We help individuals and families across Santa Barbara and the Central Coast navigate life’s biggest moves with empathy, discretion, and meticulous care. These Terms of Use explain the rules for using our website, curatedtransitions.com. Please read them carefully.
By accessing or using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
1. Who We Are
This website is owned and operated by Curated Transitions (formerly known as Klutter Kutters of Santa Barbara) (“Curated Transitions,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at 2720 Puesta Del Sol, Santa Barbara, CA 93105. We provide concierge move management, senior living transitions, right-sizing, professional organizing, estate clearing, and related transitional support services in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Goleta, Carpinteria, Hope Ranch, Ojai, Santa Ynez, and surrounding communities.
In these Terms, “you” and “your” refer to any person who visits or uses this website, including anyone acting on behalf of a family member, loved one, estate, or organization.
2. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and Curated Transitions regarding your use of the website. By browsing the site, submitting a contact form, requesting a consultation, or subscribing to communications, you confirm that you:
- Are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement;
- Have read and understood these Terms; and
- Agree to follow them, along with all applicable laws.
If you are using the website on behalf of another person (for example, an aging parent or relative) or an estate, you confirm that you have the authority to share their information with us and to act on their behalf.
3. Website Purpose & Information Only
The content on this website, including service descriptions, process overviews, and photographs, is provided for general informational purposes only. It is intended to help you understand our services and the moving, downsizing, and organizing process. While we work to keep the information accurate and current, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, up to date, or suitable for your particular situation.
Service descriptions on the website are general in nature. The specific scope of work for any project is determined only through a consultation and a written agreement, as described below.
4. Our Services & Service Agreements
Using this website does not create a client relationship or obligate either party to provide or purchase services. Any services we provide, whether move management, right-sizing, organizing, estate clearing, or specialized transitional support, will be governed by a separate written service agreement, estimate, or proposal (a “Service Agreement”).
Your Service Agreement will set out the details of your project, which may include scope of work, schedule, rates, deposits, payment terms, cancellation and rescheduling policies, and responsibilities of each party. If anything in these Terms conflicts with your Service Agreement, the Service Agreement will control with respect to the services provided.
Please note:
- Pricing is not published on this website. Rates and estimates are provided after a consultation and depend on the size, complexity, and timeline of each project.
- Availability is not guaranteed until a project has been confirmed in writing.
- Certain services are outside our scope. For example, we do not provide deep cleaning services, and we do not act as a licensed moving carrier, appraiser, auctioneer, or real estate agent. Where appropriate, we can coordinate with qualified third-party providers.
5. Consultations & Inquiries
You may request a complimentary consultation through our contact form, by email, or by phone. Submitting a request does not guarantee that we will accept a project. We reserve the right to decline any request, including when a project falls outside our service area, expertise, or availability.
Any recommendations, timelines, or estimates shared during an initial consultation are preliminary and based on the information available at that time. They may change once the full scope of a project is understood.
6. No Professional Advice
Our team brings deep experience in managing life transitions with care. However, nothing on this website, and nothing we share in general conversation, should be considered legal, financial, tax, medical, real estate, or appraisal advice. In particular:
- We do not provide formal valuations or appraisals of personal property, antiques, art, jewelry, or collectibles.
- We do not provide legal advice about estates, probate, trusts, or divorce proceedings.
- We do not provide tax advice regarding charitable donations or the sale of belongings.
- We do not provide medical or care-level advice regarding senior living or assisted living placement.
Please consult a qualified attorney, accountant, appraiser, healthcare provider, or other licensed professional for advice specific to your circumstances.
7. Third-Party Partners & Referrals
As part of our services, we may introduce or connect you with trusted local professionals, such as movers, auction houses, liquidators, consignors, donation centers, junk removal and disposal companies, storage facilities, cleaners, and other vendors (“Third-Party Providers”).
Third-Party Providers are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, or partners of Curated Transitions. Unless otherwise stated in your Service Agreement:
- Your relationship with any Third-Party Provider is directly between you and that provider, and may be subject to their own terms, fees, and policies.
- We do not guarantee the prices, sale results, auction outcomes, consignment returns, timelines, or quality of work of any Third-Party Provider.
- We are not responsible for any loss, damage, delay, or dispute arising from services performed by a Third-Party Provider.
We recommend partners in good faith based on our experience, and we encourage you to review their terms before engaging them.
8. Donations, Disposal & Distribution of Items
Our right-sizing and estate clearing services may include helping you distribute unwanted items through donation, gifting, consignment, sale, recycling, or disposal. Decisions about what to keep, donate, sell, or discard are ultimately yours (or those of the authorized decision-maker). You are responsible for:
- Confirming that you own, or have legal authority over, the items being sorted, moved, donated, sold, or discarded;
- Identifying and removing, or clearly flagging, items of sentimental, legal, or financial importance, such as important documents, cash, jewelry, firearms, medications, and heirlooms; and
- Disclosing any hazardous materials or items that require special handling.
Donation receipts, where available, are issued by the receiving organization, not by Curated Transitions. We cannot guarantee that any organization will accept particular items or that any donation will be tax-deductible.
9. Acceptable Use
You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that respects others. You agree not to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, or impersonate any person;
- Use the website to send spam, unsolicited advertising, or harmful content;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, its servers, or any connected systems;
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any code designed to damage or interfere with the website;
- Use bots, scrapers, or automated tools to copy or collect content or data from the website without our written permission;
- Copy, reproduce, or republish our content for commercial purposes without our consent; or
- Use the website in any way that violates applicable local, state, or federal law.
We may restrict or block access to the website for anyone who violates these Terms.
10. Information You Submit
When you contact us through the website, you agree to provide information that is accurate and complete. Please do not send highly sensitive information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or detailed medical records, through our contact form or by regular email.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas about our website or services, you agree that we may use them without any obligation to compensate you.
11. Communications
When you submit your name, email, and phone number through our contact form, you agree that we may contact you by phone or email to respond to your inquiry, schedule a consultation, or follow up on services you requested. We will only send text messages if you have given us permission to do so, and you can ask us to stop at any time. Standard message and data rates may apply.
If we send you marketing emails or a newsletter, you may unsubscribe at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in any email or by contacting us directly. Opting out of marketing will not affect messages about services you have requested.
12. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, the Curated Transitions name, page layouts, and design elements, is owned by or licensed to Curated Transitions and is protected by United States copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may view and print pages from this website for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any content without our prior written permission. Any third-party names, logos, or trademarks shown on the website, including professional association and accreditation marks, belong to their respective owners and are used for identification purposes only.
13. Reviews, Credentials & Results
Any reviews, client stories, or project examples shared on this website or our social media reflect the experiences of individual clients. Every move, household, and family is different, and past results do not guarantee similar outcomes for your project. Photographs may show completed projects and are for illustrative purposes.
References to our memberships, ratings, or accreditations (such as NASMM membership or BBB accreditation) reflect our status at the time of posting and may change.
14. Links to Other Websites
Our website may include links to third-party websites, such as professional associations, review platforms, social media, or partner businesses. These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party website. Visiting a linked site is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.
15. Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. Our collection and use of personal information through this website, including information collected through cookies and analytics tools, is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms of Use.
16. Disclaimer of Warranties
This website and all content on it are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curated Transitions makes no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Curated Transitions and its owners, employees, organizers, and contractors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This section applies to your use of the website. Liability relating to services we perform is governed by your Service Agreement. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Curated Transitions and its owners, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the website, or any information you submit that is false or that you did not have the right to share.
19. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the website will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Santa Barbara County, California, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Before filing any formal claim, we ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the concern informally and in good faith. Most concerns can be settled with a simple conversation.
20. Accessibility
We want everyone, including older adults and people with disabilities, to be able to use our website comfortably. If you have difficulty accessing any content or would prefer to receive information in another format, please call us at (805) 669-6303 and we will be glad to help.
21. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or applicable law. When we make changes, we will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last Updated” date above. Your continued use of the website after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
22. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Curated Transitions regarding use of the website. Services are governed separately by your Service Agreement.
- Severability: If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
- No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not waive our right to enforce it later.
