Our Story
A Seamless Transition of Our Own
Curated Transitions was originally founded by Karen Martin under the name Klutter Kutters of Santa Barbara. Recognizing that her true superpower lay in managing complex relocations, Karen rebranded the business to Curated Transitions in 2022 to better capture the full scope of her work.
As Karen looked toward retirement, she sought a successor who possessed the exact blend of business acumen, organizational brilliance, and deep empathy required to lead this company. Early in 2024, Maya Adams joined the team. Over the next two years, Karen and Maya worked side-by-side, modeling the very standard of excellence they offer their clients. On January 1, 2026, Karen officially passed the torch, achieving a perfectly smooth transition of ownership to Maya.
Today, Maya and her dedicated team continue to build upon that strong foundation, treating every client’s home, family, and memories with the highest level of care.
